1. Clean the Area Thoroughly
Start by brushing away loose mud and debris.
If the hoof has been washed, let it dry until the surface is only slightly damp — this helps TerraHoof grip without slipping.2. Assess the Depth of the Crevice
TerraHoof works best in shallow to medium cracks, frog clefts, and surface gaps where deeper packing products can’t hold.
If you can easily press a fingertip into the space, TerraHoof is usually the right choice.3. Warm a Small Amount Between Your Fingers
Scoop a fingertip of TerraHoof.
The warmth of your hands softens it slightly, making it more pliable and easy to press into place.4. Press TerraHoof into the Crevice or Gap
Use your thumb to spread or press the clay directly into the area you want to protect.
Aim to fill the space fully so the clay forms a smooth, flush surface.5. Smooth the Edges
Once the crevice is filled, run a finger along the edges to seal it.
This helps TerraHoof stay put during work, turnout, and regular movement.6. Reapply as Needed
